Projects

We work across water, wastewater, civil and marine infrastructure, supporting delivery in urban, regional and remote Queensland. Our project experience reflects the technical capability and practical approach we bring to every job.

  • Crane placing concrete section on top of new pump station

Sewage Pumping Station W1A – New Pump Station

    Proponent: Cairns Regional Council
    Date: MAY 2024 – JUL 2025 (est.)

Londino Project Services was appointed Superintendent’s Representative to support Cairns Regional Council in the replacement of the W1 Sewer Pump Station on a constrained brownfield site.

Works include caisson construction for a new 14.5m deep wet well, building and electrical upgrades, major mechanical installations, groundwater management and complex system bypassing.

Significant confined space works, tight site access and multi-stakeholder engagement have been key challenges throughout delivery. The completed upgrade will deliver significant wastewater network improvements for the Southern Treatment Plant catchment.

Mareeba Water Treatment Plant – Booster Pump Station

    Proponent: Mareeba Shire Council
    Date: JUL 2022 - SEP 2024

Londino Project Services was engaged at preliminary design stage to manage the detailed design process and tender documentation for this critical water infrastructure upgrade.

Following contract award, we fulfilled the role of Superintendent’s Representative throughout delivery. The project involved construction of a new booster pump station and complex tie-ins to ageing infrastructure, requiring integration with the operational Mareeba Water Treatment Plant.

Delivery was challenged by concurrent works on site, procurement of specialist mechanical and electrical equipment, and severe weather events including Cyclone Jasper and associated flooding.

  • Drone shot of newly constructed boat ramp launching facility at Yorkeys Knob

Yorkeys Knob Boat Ramp Launching Facility

Proponent: Hall Contracting (for DTMR & CRC)
    Date: AUG 2022 – SEP 2023

Londino Project Services provided project engineering and quality management support as part of Hall Contracting’s construction team for this landmark recreational boating project.

Works included complex construction through tidal creek environments, large culvert crossings, boat ramp structures extending below low tide mark, and installation of floating walkways.

LPS was responsible for procurement support, subcontractor coordination, technical construction support and quality assurance under DTMR specifications, contributing to the successful delivery of this first-of-its-kind facility in Queensland.

  • External bore water station at Morrow Park

Yungaburra Road and Morrow Park Bore Renewal

    Proponent: Tablelands Regional Council
    Date: MAR 20205 - ongoing

Londino Project Services is delivering advisory services to Tablelands Regional Council for the assessment and future planning of key water supply bores. Our engagement includes engineering review, options assessment, cost-benefit analysis and business case preparation.

The project is currently in its early phases and remains under Council consideration. This engagement reflects LPS’s ability to provide strategic, technical advice, deliver complex water infrastructure projects for regional communities, and support future project delivery once approved.

  • Aerial photograph of sea wall being contructed on Iama to protect community

Iama Island Seawall – Package 1

Proponent: Gulf Civil (for Torres Strait Island Regional Council)
    Date: JAN 2024 – SEP 2024

Londino Project Services was engaged by Gulf Civil to deliver project engineering and quality management services for the construction of a 1.2 metre high precast concrete seawall on Iama Island. This critical infrastructure upgrade enhances coastal protection for the local community.

Our involvement included overseeing the construction of precast panels in Cairns, procuring and managing subcontractors, and coordinating complex barge logistics to the remote island site. We also implemented quality systems throughout delivery and provided technical, construction and commercial support to the project team.

Contract 75700 - Sewer Pump Station Package

    Proponent: Cairns Regional Council
    Date: MAY 2024 - ongoing

Londino Project Services is acting as Superintendent’s Representative for Contract 75700 — a complex remediation and upgrade program covering 12 sewer pump stations across the Cairns network. The scope includes mechanical and electrical renewals along with the construction of a new pump station to enhance long-term system performance.

Our team is responsible for contract administration, stakeholder coordination and quality oversight across multiple active sites, helping ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery in a live operational environment.
